Grace After Grace II Print E-mail

Continuing to reflect about the Word becoming flesh and "pitching his tent" among us, John says that he came from the Father full of grace and truth, and he goes on to say in 1:16 that from the fullness of him that we have received carin anti caritoV. This strange little phrase literally says, "Grace after grace" and is showing that the grace we receive is replaced with more grace when we need it. Jesus came full of inexhaustible grace. Isn't that a wonderful gem of truth?
